Who is URB?
We are the first Rural Bank in Ghana to be computerised and fully networked (WAN)—Sponsored by the World Bank/Bank of Ghana /ARB Apex Bank. URB has been categorised as the fastest growing rural bank in Ghana through our competitive products and our ability to meet clients’ needs promptly. We are among the youngest (8 years) in the rural/community banking industry of Ghana, and yet has chalked a lot of progress in terms of its total assets, deposits, net worth and profitability.
Union Rural Bank Ltd (URB) was established in the year 1999 and granted license by the Bank of Ghana to operate as a financial institution. The bank was established to provide quality financial services to the people of Awutu-Efutu-Senya District of the Central Region and to customers from other parts of the country. Our goal is to provide quality financial service to our clients who deserve the best.
The Union Rural Bank Ltd (URB) has been labeled by the Managing Director of ARB/Apex Bank (the supervising authority of rural banks in Ghana) as one of the fastest growing banks and the most modern rural bank in Ghana today, in terms of ICT set-up.
